Bluelab Replacement pH Probe for Combo / Maestro Meters

If your original Bluelab probe gets damaged or lost then replace it with the Bluelab Replacement pH Probe compatible with Combo and Maestro meters. The Bluelab Replacement pH Probe like the original is fully waterproof, easy to clean and durable thanks to its tough polypropylene barrel. The Bluelab Replacement pH Probe comes with two metres of cable and a suction cup if you want to permanently submerge the probe in your reservoir.

How the Bluelab Replacement pH Probe Works

Your pH levels have a significant impact on the uptake of certain nutrients and on micro-organisms present in the substrate or nutrient. For this reason, knowing about the pH levels of your nutrient and adjusting nutrient pH levels accordingly is an essential part of indoor growing.

Using the Bluelab Replacement pH Probe

Before doing anything, you should soak the pH probe in KCL (potassium chloride) solution for 24 hours. This is very important!

The Bluelab pH probe will need to be calibrated before use. Add a small amount of pH 7.0 calibration solution to a small beaker or plastic container, dip the end of the probe in the solution and hold the 'pH cal' button, located on your meter. Rinse the probe tip and repeat the process with either pH 4.0 or pH 10.0 solution to provide a more accurate calibration.

The Bluelab Replacement Probe can then be placed in the reservoir tank. Fit the included suction cup holder to the pH probe by gently pushing it over the tip and twisting it round the stem. The probe can now be stuck to the side of the reservoir, ideally keeping it clear from any mixing or stirring you might be doing in your reservoir tank.

Always take great care with the pH probe. Under no circumstances should you ever allow it to dry out – when not in use, replace the storage cap. Never soak the probe in RO (Reverse Osmosis), distilled or de-ionized water.
